As a Senior Big Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the Financial Services industry. You will play a vital role in building, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale distributed data processing pipelines and data warehousing architectures that drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. Join us in transforming complex data into powerful insights that accelerate innovation and growth.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize large-scale data processing systems, data warehouses, and ETL transformations.
• Build and manage robust batch and real-time data pipelines leveraging Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Python, and Kafka.
• Enhance performance through code optimization and system tuning across distributed environments.
• Manage source code, automated builds, deployments, and task scheduling using Git, XL Release, XL Deploy, and CTRL-M.
• Work autonomously within a distributed international team alongside counterparts in Paris.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 9+ years of experience in software and data engineering.
• Strong expertise in Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, and Python.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with DevOps and delivery tooling: Git, XL Release, XL Deploy, CTRL-M, Linux, and APIs.
• High autonomy, strong organizational skills, and a proactive mindset to thrive in a distributed, international environment.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of Scala or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and distributed systems architecture.

Language required for the role:

• Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
